Olalla Farm

Feline Spay & Neuter Project

Our Story

Community-based care, built on proven strategies

The Olalla Farm Feline Spay & Neuter Project was born out of a critical need for assistance with feral and community cat colonies in Kitsap, Pierce, and Mason Counties.

We believe that all cats and kittens deserve love, care, and compassion — whether they are friendly house cats or ferals — as well as the same level of medical care to prevent the spread of disease, unnecessary pain and suffering, and the reduction of overpopulation.

The project is owned and operated by a local veterinary medical worker who has volunteered with many free and low-cost clinics within the area and around the world. As someone who has seen first-hand what can be done to successfully support feral and community cat colonies, we believe these proven strategies can be duplicated locally — with the support of our community.

Our small business on the farm, sitting on 2.5 acres in Olalla, Washington, helps support this very busy spay & neuter project. We couldn’t do it without you.

Our surgical partners

For all surgical procedures we currently partner with The Feral Cat Spay & Neuter Project in Renton and Lynnwood, WA, and Kitsap Humane Society in Silverdale, WA.

What we do — and don’t — assist with

We assist with

  • Feral and community cat colonies
  • Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
  • Classes and training on trapping and handling
  • Placing and finding homes for friendly cats and kittens
  • Placing and finding homes for barn cats
  • Connecting caretakers to free and low-cost cat food resources
  • Free and low-cost shelters and winter shelters for colonies

We do NOT assist with

  • Owned pets (indoor, indoor/outdoor, or outdoor)

We are a feral feline–exclusive rescue. If your need falls outside our scope, reach out anyway and we’ll do our best to point you toward the right local resource.
